Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Bob in Australia is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the series:
- TikTok comments: We read public comments on our TikTok videos to tally audience votes. Only the text of comments is processed — no personal profile data is stored.
- Website analytics: Standard web server logs including IP addresses and page visits. These are not shared with third parties.
2. What We Don't Collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses or personal information from viewers
- We do not use cookies for tracking
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers
- We do not store TikTok user profile information
3. TikTok API
This service uses the TikTok API to read comments on our own videos and to publish content. We access only the following scopes:
- comment.list — to read public comments on our videos for vote tallying
- video.publish — to publish new episodes automatically
- user.info.basic — to verify our own account identity
We do not access your TikTok account, followers, messages or any personal data. TikTok's own Privacy Policy governs your use of TikTok.
4. Data Retention
Vote tallies are retained only for the duration of each episode voting period and then deleted. No individual comment data is retained after vote counting is complete.
5. Your Rights
If you have concerns about any data we may hold, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
